Philippe Desmarais, MD

Dr. Desmarais completed his training in Internal Medicine and in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Montreal in 2016. He completed a clinical research fellowship in Cognitive & Movement Disorders Neurology at the University of Toronto in 2018. He has also completed a Master in Translational Research at the Institute of Medical Science of the University of Toronto.

Currently, Dr. Desmarais is an Assistant Professor at the University of Montreal and an internist-geriatrician at the Centre Hospitalier de l’Universite de Montreal. His clinical expertise is in the diagnosis and management of non-Alzheimer’s dementias, most notably of frontotemporal lobar degenerations and alpha-synucleinopathies.
