Doreen Wan-Chow-Wah, MD

Dr. Wan-Chow-Wah is a geriatrician-internist practicing mainly at the Royal Victoria Hospital (Glen site).  In 2007, she pioneered the field of Geriatric Oncology in Canada by co-founding the first Geriatric Oncology Clinic at the Segal Cancer Center of the Jewish Hospital.  As the Medical Director since its inception, her expertise serves to improve the care of older cancer patients through multidimensional comprehensive assessments and personalized interventions.  She established a Geriatric Oncology Clinic within the Cedars Cancer Center of the MUHC in 2017.  She is Program Director for McGill’s Geriatric Oncology fellowship program.  Her research interests involve looking at the clinical and cost effectiveness of geriatric assessment and interventions in older cancer patients, treatment decision-making in older patients, and usefulness of frailty markers in evaluating older cancer patients.
